About Sedona Mago

The Sedona Mago Retreat Center is nestled among the beautiful rock formations of the Sedona area on a 163-acre stretch of land in the high Sonoran Desert, 4,500-feet above sea level. The center’s grounds include a beautifully landscaped healing garden and lake, wonderful views, an organic farm, meditation areas, healing vortexes and peaceful trails to explore nature.

The Daily Retreat Schedule: What to Expect

Morning

  • The days begin at 7 AM with a 30 minute optional yoga session. This is a gentle asana flow practice, presented by a retreat alumni and certified yoga teacher.
  • Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:00 AM in the Dining Hall.
  • The morning session from 8:30 to 11:00 AM will include meditation and teachings. Andrew will lead a guided meditation session followed by 30 minutes of group meditation. He will then present an hour or so of deep explorations into dream yoga teachings and practices. This will also include time for Q&A.

Afternooon

  • Lunch is served from 11:30 to 1:00 PM.
  • There will be a break until 2:30 PM to allow attendees time to enjoy the natural beauty of the retreat center. Weather permitting, there is a pool and plenty of trails for gentle hiking. Or some precious nap time- to practice dream yoga techniques!
  • The afternoon session runs from 2:30 to 5:30 PM, including more meditation and teaching sessions with Andrew.
  • Later in the afternoons, Andrew will offer 10 to 15 minutes of time to move a bit with either Tibetan Lu Jong healing yoga, walking meditations or  illusory form practice, including outdoor “aimless wandering”.

Evening

    • Dinner is served from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
    • The evening sessions go from 7:30 to 9:00 PM. Andrew’s teachings will be supplemented by smaller group sessions, including exercises and time for participants to share their journey and practices. The community element of the retreat is one of the richest aspects.
    • If the evenings are not too cold, we will also be doing some star gazing practices, as the night sky in the Sedona area is spectacular.

To facilitate the inward journey and the incorporation of the practices, a good portion of the meal times during the retreat will be in silence. Group meditation time will be included several times daily. See retreat pricing below.
